Arirang TV signed an MOU with China's Chongqing TV, the gist of the MOU being broadcast exchange.
The MOU signing ceremony held at China's Chongqing TV building in Chongqing City, was attended by Arirang TV's Broadcasting Director Kim Ki-chun, who agreed upon ▲The regularization of the mutual visitation of executive teams and ▲ the broadcast exchange of non-political outstanding programs.
According to this agreement, Arirang TV promised to provide to Chongqing TV tour programs introducing Korea's food, culture and history such as 'Korea Top 10,' 'Bon Voyage,' 'Tasty Trail with Benjamin,' and be supplied with economy and culture programs in return.
Arirang TV will organize the programs it receives from Chongqing TV into 'Discover World.' 'Discover World' has programs from world-famous broadcasting companies concentrated into it that are related to culture and art, and is an 'international exchange band' which allows one to see exceptional programs from foreign broadcasting companies.
This MOU signing with Chongqing TV is important in that Arirang International Broadcasting utilized its experience of exchange and cooperation with CCTV, Guangdong TV, SMG, the representative broadcasting companies of the east side coastal area of China to broaden its area to the largest broadcasting company in the west side of China, and take the role of a new axis in the 'Post Korean Wave' while allowing the influence of the Korean Wave to continue on.
Chongqing TV which represents Chongqing City, has satellite channels covering 0.9 billion viewers and 13 regional channels such as Chongqing-International, Chongqing-News, Chongqing-Scientific Technique, Chongqing-Movies, and Chongqing-Life.
