South Korean foreign minister Chung Eui-yong and his U.S. counterpart Antony Blinken are holding talks at this hour in London, where they're expected to discuss details of Washington's new North Korea policy as well as the upcoming summit between the South Korean and U.S. presidents later this month.
The Biden administration has described its new North Korea policy as "calibrated" and "practical," saying it seeks the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
Chung and Blinken's meeting also comes ahead of G7 foreign ministers summit on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Chung's five-day London trip could also include a trialteral session on Wednesday with Blinken and Japanese foreign minister Toshimitsu Motegi.
If that does take place, it will be the first meeting of its kind since February last year.
It will also be Chung's first encounter with Minister Motegi.
