S. Korea's ruling Democratic Party, gov't, presidential office to discuss 4th round of COVID-19 relief funds Updated: 2021-02-28 09:58:48 KST

This afternoon, South Korea's ruling Democratic Party, the government and the presidential office will be discussing the details of the upcoming fourth round of COVID-19 relief funds, like the size of the extra budget to pay for it and who will be eligible.
The three sides will decide on the first extra budget of 2021, which is expected to be around 17-and-a-half billion U.S. dollars or more.
The ruling party, in fact, is aiming to submit the extra budget bill to the National Assembly next Thursday.
The meeting will be attended by the leader of the ruling Democratic party, Lee Nak-yeon, Finance Minister Hong Nam-ki and the Blue House chief of staff for policy, Kim Sang-jo.
