South Korea today reported the lowest number of COVID-19 cases it's seen on a Thursday in 11 weeks.
New cases came to 33,and-9.
That's down from yesterday by more than 82-hundred.
The government also announced that it's decided to get rid of the rule requiring masks at large outdoor gatherings, like sporting events and concerts.
A decision on when could come as soon as this week.
The outdoor mask mandate for individuals was lifted in May, but was kept in place for gatherings of over fifty people.
As for masks indoors, those rules will remain in place for the time being.
There were 59 COVID-related deaths, and 4-hundred-28 patients are severely ill.
