N. Korea denies exporting weapons to Russia, rejecting U.S. accusations Updated: 2022-09-22 12:55:51 KST

North Korea's defense ministry has rejected accusations of selling arms to Russia, saying it has never exported weapons or ammunition to the country and has no plans to do so.
In a statement published on the North's Korean Central News Agency, a top military official called such claims by the United States groundless and slammed them as efforts to taint the image of the regime.
The North's response comes after U.S. officials said earlier this month that Moscow could be purchasing millions of artillery shells and rockets from Pyeongyang, which would violate multiple United Nations Security Council resolutions.
