Retired Army Colonel William Weber, a decorated Korean War veteran known for his dedication to completing the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. has been laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
Weber was buried with full military honors on Wednesday local time, three days before the 72nd anniversary of the Korean War.
70 people attended, including the South Korean ambassador to US.
Weber, who died in April aged 97 -- lost his right leg and right arm during the Korean War but remained in the military despite his injuries, until he retired as a colonel in 1980.
