The Pentagon announced Monday that the latest Ukrainian Defense Contact Group meeting has resulted in new military support from the international community.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that some 20 countries had pledged security assistance packages for Ukraine during the virtual meeting.
He stressed that all 47 countries present at the meeting understood the stakes of the war and commended countries that vowed to provide new arms packages for Kyiv amid Russia's continued aggression.
Austin added a third meeting will be held in mid-June on the sidelines of the NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels.
South Korea also took part in the meeting.
