With the success of shows like "Squid Game" and "Kingdom," Netflix has a "Korean playbook," according to Bloomberg, that could help it win over the rest of Asia.
In an article published Thursday, Bloomberg said those Korean shows are winning Netflix new subscribers all over the world, in countries such as Thailand, Indonesia and Mexico.
Bloomberg attributed its success to a strategy of hiring top executives who have deep connections to local entertainment industries and discovering content that can travel across cultures.
Netflix has invested more than a billion U.S. dollars in making content in Korea, the second most of any country after the United States itself.
