S. Korea, China, Japan to advance cooperation to address regional, global environmental issues Updated: 2021-12-08 08:28:03 KST

The environment ministers of South Korea, China and Japan have vowed to cooperate over the next five years in eight areas, including air quality, water management and climate change.
This coming Tuesday as the three countries held the 22nd Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting, during which the ministers discussed ways to ramp up environmental cooperation.
They adopted a joint communique, containing collaborative efforts on regional and global environmental issues.
The meeting was inaugurated in 1999, and has been held annually ever since, apart from last year when it was canceled due to the pandemic.
