Tension in the air Thursday as the top U.S. and Russian diplomats met on the sidelines of the OSCE summit in Stockholm.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken reiterated Washington's demand that Russia withdraw its troops from the Ukrainian border.
Blinken warned Moscow would face serious consequences including high-impact economic measures, if it continues its aggression.
Russia's Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, maintained that Ukraine is the one posing a threat.
A Russian news agency cited Lavrov as having said to Blinken that, if the U.S. draws Ukraine into any of its so-called "geopolitical games", Russia would respond accordingly.
