COVAX allocates N. Korea 4.73 million more vaccine doses Updated: 2021-11-30 17:03:47 KST

The COVAX Facility has decided to provide North Korea with another 4.7 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine made by AstraZeneca.
This latest allocation was announced on November 22nd for round 12 of the COVAX distribution plan which will give more than 40 million doses to 19 countries in total.
The North had previously been allocated more than two million doses, so with these new supplies, that would be enough to vaccinate around 13 percent of its population.
To date, however, the North is not known to have agreed to accept delivery of any vaccines from COVAX.
