WHO chief vows to vaccinate 40% of each country's population by end of 2021 Updated: 2021-10-26 10:56:52 KST

The head of the WHO says vaccinating 40-percent of each country's population against COVID-19 will be possible by the end of the year.
The WHO plans to have 70-percent vaccinated by mid-2022.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also stressed the issue of vaccine inequity in regards to less developed countries, noting how many have not been vaccinated.
He added a return to normal life relies on fair vaccine distribution across the world.
