Tomorrow, small business owners can start applying for compensation if government measures in the fourth wave of the pandemic forced them to close down or limit their business hours or customer numbers.
Applications start Wedesday, October 27.
Compensation will be for losses incurred in the third quarter of this year, which is roughly the peak of the pandemic's fourth wave.
Their losses will be calculated by comparing their losses to the third quarter of 2019 before the pandemic and paying 80 percent of that amount.
They can get up to 100-million won, or about 85-thousand dollars.
Those who qualify can expect to get paid within two days of applying.
