South Korea reported a little over 15-hundred new COVID-19 cases as of Saturday, up some 70 cases from the previous day.
All but 21 cases were locally transmitted.
Saturday marks the 15th straight day the country's caseload has stayed below 2-thousand.
This comes as South Korea's vaccination drive picks up pace, with around 68 percent of the population now fully inoculated.
The country is likely to achieve this weekend the 70 percent threshold proposed by the government, a prerequisite step to return to normal.
