Incheon International Airport passengers increase significantly from August to September this year Updated: 2021-10-22 07:12:17 KST

The number of people traveling overseas is finally on the up, thanks to eased social distancing measures and as South Korea slowly transitions into "living with COVID-19".
According to the Incheon International Airport Corporation on Friday, the number of international travelers in August came to 338-thousand, up 44-percent on-year.
It also marks the first time in 16 months that the number of monthly passengers surpassed 300-thousand.
The figure was 287-thousand for September, 46-percent higher than the same month last year.
