Good afternoon. Korea is in a grip of intensely hot weather, heat wave warnings are in place pretty much everywhere. Take extra care, especially those of you in Daegu and its surrounding regions, it's going to be another sweltering day.
Passing rain is in store for central areas, but it won't do much to relieve the heat, but it will add more humidity to the air.
Seoul and Busan will hike to 34 degrees, Gwangju and Daejeon reaching 35.
On a sweltering day like today, many are risk of heat-related illnesses as then body's temperature control system is overloaded. Monitor for signs of heat-related illness and if you are feeling unwell and don't get better in an hour, call for medical assistance.
Some relief is on the way though, Saturday is Ipchu the beginning of autumn on Korea's seasonal indicator, and expect less intense weather next week with cooler morning temperatures as well.
