Also at the Olympics today, women's golf has begun, and that's a sport in which Korea has dominated at the professional level.
Four South Koreans are competing this time.
They include the reigning Olympic champion Park In-bee, who finished the first round at two-under-par to put her in seventh place tied with Kim Sei-young and several others.
Ahead of them is world number two-ranked Ko Jin-young, who's tied for fourth place at three-under-par.
Not far behind is their compatriot Kim Hyo-joo tied at sixteenth place.
Currently at the top of the board is Sweden's Madelene Sagstrom at five under par.
The second round begins tomorrow at seven thirty AM, Korea time.
