South Korea reported fewer coronavirus cases today, but that was in large part due to fewer tests being done on the weekend.
New cases came to 1,4-hundred-41.
That compares to a little over 17-hundred on Friday.
Of Sunday's new cases, around a third continued to be outside of the greater Seoul area.
The numbers continue to be high despite the capital region being under the strictest distancing rules for the past three weeks.
Considering that most new cases are of the Delta variant, and with people traveling for summer vacation, the health authorities say they'll be keeping a close eye on the situation in the coming week and could tighten the rules both in and outside the capital.
