Sunshine has finished off the work week with daytime highs of 35.4 degrees in the capital today. Heatwave alerts are issued nationwide with most regions under warnings. For the past few days, the weather forecast was mainly about patterns of intense heat and recording-breaking temperatures. Well, today I am happy to tell you, tomorrow the nation will be taking a brief respite as we have some cold showers in the forecast this weekend. Rain has already started on Jeju Island and in parts of inland regions tonight.
Showers will spread nationwide by tomorrow morning. The Seoul metropolitan area and western parts of the country can expect 5 to 30 millimeters. Eastern regions and Jeju Island will see 10 to 50 millimeters.
A wet morning will be seen for most regions tomorrow. The capital will start off at 26 degrees.
For the daytime, Seoul and Gwangju will get up to 33 degrees. Daegu 36 degrees. Busan 32 degrees.
Showers will last until next Monday with locally heavy downpours at times. This will bring the readings down about 2 degrees, but intense heat will continue.
That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
