Showers across inland regions through Friday...thunder and lightning to follow Updated: 2021-06-23 15:56:26 KST

The forecast is showing fairly typical patterns of summer in South Korea with temperatures on the rise and showers becoming more sporadic. Rain clouds are still lingering and more isolated showers are in the forecast. The amount of rainfall will be around 5 to 20 millimeters for the west of the nation. That includes, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, Jeolla-do, and parts of Gyeongsangbuk-do provinces. Rainfall will be concentrated in different areas every hour or so. Thunder and lightning may also follow.

Skies are forecast to remain mostly cloudy, after the rain departs on Friday. The weekend is looking mild and quiet overall. Maximum temperatures are set to hover near 30 degrees Celsius.

For the readings tomorrow, morning lows will range from 16 to 20 degrees Celsius.

Aside from Gyeongju and Busan, other regions will see a rainy or cloudy afternoon. Seoul will get up to 27 degrees. Daejeon and Chuncheon 28 degrees. Busan 25 degrees.

Meanwhile, patches of fog and low clouds will be seen across the West Coast tonight. They will spread towards the inland regions for the morning hours.

That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
