South Korea has reported its first case of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in an adult infected with COVID-19.
A 38-year-old man was diagnosed in late April with the rare yet life-threatening side effect of COVID-19 that's seen mostly in children.
He was hospitalized and discharged after almost two weeks.
The Journal of Korean Medical Science recently disclosed this case, prior to which, South Korea had reported five such cases linked to COVID-19, all in children.
