ASEAN envoys in Myanmar to try and resolve post-coup chaos with military junta Updated: 2021-06-04 13:09:22 KST

Envoys from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations arrived in Myanmar Thursday for talks with the country's military, as the unrest there since the February coup shows little sign of abating.
The four-day meeting is aimed at ending the chaos.
ASEAN has led the diplomatic efforts to try and resolve the crisis, but observers are questioning whether the visit will accomplish much.
It was around 40 days ago that ASEAN agreed to send envoys to Myanmar during their summit back in April.
