Pharmaceutical company Samsung BioLogics says no decision has been made yet on whether it will manufacture Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine in South Korea.
The company said on Friday, that it will make an official announcement regarding this matter within one month.
This contrasts with the company's firm denial earlier this week, regarding rumors that it was working to produce vaccines with Pfizer.
Industry watchers are predicting that Moderna will sign a contract manufacturing deal with a Korean pharmaceutical company, as it is pushing to set up a subsidiary in South Korea.
Moderna's vaccine has not been approved in Korea yet, but the final approval from the drug ministry is set to be made next Friday.
