A UN Security Council panel has approved temporary sanction exemptions for the Singapore Red Cross to provide North Korea with virus prevention equipment, like test kits.
According to the panel's website, the exemptions will allow the organization to donate to local hospitals to support anti-COVID efforts.
The sanctions waiver will be in effect for nine months until February 2022.
It's the second of its kind approved this year.
The North continues to claim it hasn't had a single case of COVID-19.
