In Mexico City, at least 23 people were killed and dozens more hospitalized on Monday when a metro overpass collapsed, sending a train plunging onto a busy street.
According to local authorities, the dead and injured include passengers on the train and people on the ground.
An unknown number of the dead were minors.
At least 65 people have been hospitalized, seven of whom are in grave condition.
The exact cause of the accident is being investigated, but the city's mayor said a support beam gave way as the train passed over it.
It happened on the newest line in the city's metro system, which opened in 2012.
