U.S. begins reuniting migrant families separated under Trump administration Updated: 2021-05-04 10:00:41 KST

The U.S. has started working to reunite migrant families separated under the previous Trump administration's immigration policies.
Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, said on Monday that four migrant parents who were separated from their children will return to the U.S. this week.
He said that many more would follow, and acknowledged the importance of providing families with the stability and resources they need to heal.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, more than one thousand families remain separated after the parents were deported mostly to Central America.
