Those companies are SK Bioscience, Eubiologics, Cellid, Genexine and GeneOne Life Science.
The health ministry said in Monday's emergency COVID-19 meeting led by President Moon, that the companies aim to begin phase three trials in the second half of this year.
The government will be investing some 61 million dollars of this year's budget to support the trials and will consider additional help if needed.
