About 600 civilians, including 48 children killed in Myanmar in two months since coup: AAPP Updated: 2021-04-08 16:03:38 KST

Another day of bloodshed in Myanmar as security forces again opened fire on pro-democracy protesters Wednesday, killing at least twenty civilians.
Most of the fatalities were reported in the Sagaing region in the center of the country, with two deaths in the southern region of Bago.
Arrests were also made as demonstrators continue to fight back against the military coup that overthrew the country's elected government.
The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners says about 600 civilians, including 48 children, have been killed since the coup on February 1st.
