South Korea and the U.S. will hold a round of regular, but scaled down military drills because of the pandemic.
According to the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff, the drills will run for nine days from today until March 18th.
The exercise involves mainly computer simulations and not in-person drills outdoors.
The number of troops taking part will be "minimized."
It will mostly be a rehearsal of operations for South Korea taking over wartime operational control from the U.S., which Seoul hopes to do before President Moon leaves office next year.
