To mark the 50th anniversary of South Korean science university KAIST, a special summit was held with presidents of other world-renowned universities like MIT and Northwestern.
One of the topics discussed was "emerging challenges related to AI."
The president of KAIST emphasized that ethics need to be considered when using artificial intelligence.
"For bright, digital society, I would like to emphasize that ethical education is the most important. We have to teach our students about ethics of AI algorithm and social responsibility in utilizing and manipulating digital devices."
He also said that a global collaborative governance system should be set up to avoid a potential dark side of AI such as killer robots.
But admitted that it isn't something which can be achieved with the efforts of just one single country or university.
