Researchers have found that a certain bacteria grown from kimchi can kill viruses.
This is according to South Korea's National Institute of Biological Resources, which started the research in April.
The researchers say it's a lactobacillus, safe for humans, and it was tested on a broad range of viruses, including the flu virus.
They say it could be a natural alternative to chemical disinfectants.
Their research was published in the international journal Pharmaceuticals.
