New research shows that, much like the flu, COVID-19 can be contracted multiple times, even after a complete recovery.
That's according to the Commissioner of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency on Monday.
Jeong Eun-kyeong said reinfection could be possible largely because the virus is constantly mutating.
South Korea is known to have three strains so far, and has a suspected case of re-infection that's still being studied.
She pointed out another reason for reinfection: COVID-19 antibodies don't last long.
