Wall Street plunged on Thursday, falling the most since June with market heavyweights such as Apple, Amazon, Facebook, and Microsoft seeing steep losses following their recent red-hot rally.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 2.8 percent and the S&P 500 closed 3.5 percent lower.
The tech-heavy NASDAQ sharply dropped nearly 5-percent to finish at 11-thousand 458.
Oil prices slid, with Brent Crude, the international benchmark dropping nearly a percent.
WTI shed point-5 percent to 41 dollars and 31 cents a barrel.
