220 S. Korean nationals in India arrive back in Seoul on chartered flight Updated: 2020-04-06 10:04:58 KST

With India seeing an uptick in its number of COVID-19 infections, 220 South Korean nationals have been evacuated and arrived back home earlier this morning on a chartered flight.
On board the Korean Air flight were expats, international students and travelers who departed New Delhi on Sunday afternoon.
Just as everyone else, returned nationals are being placed under a mandatory 14-day quarantine, while those who test positive will be transferred to a medical facility for treatment.
The South Korean Embassy in the Indian capital is looking to send a second chartered flight later this week.
