Monsoon rain relief through weekend, heat intensifies

Those of us in central regions have really had enough of the rain over the past few days Since Wednesday, Seoul has received over 200 millimeters of rainfall with more than 300 millimeters in parts of Gyeonggi-do Province. Now the monsoon front has moved further Northand today, there could be some passing rain in the east from mid-afternoon into tonight.
And while the monsoon rain takes a short break, the heat sets inhighs in Seoul will be about 8 degrees higher this afternoon, whereas southern parts of the country, which have been under heat alerts for a while will see temperatures going as high as yesterday.
Skies will get brighter across Korea with stronger UV rays Gyeongju will be searing hot at 36 degrees Celsius.
Monsoon rain takes a break this weekend in central regions but IF you are planning on camping near streams, or going near water in central regions this weekend be extra careful as water levels have risen and the ground and soil have become weakened.
