The U.S. stock market has reportedly witnessed the worst first half of a year since 1970.
The New York Times reported Thursday that the S&P 5-hundred peaked earlier this year, and has dropped nearly 20 percent over the past six months.
It added that bonds, which are particularly sensitive to economic conditions, also had a terrible six months.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin on Thursday had lost around 58 percent of its value in the second quarter of this year alone.
This is the worst quarterly loss for the world's largest cryptocurrency since Q3 of 2011.
