In June, business sentiment among South Korean companies fell for the first time in three months.
The Bank of Korea said Thursday the Business Sentiment Index for all industries for this month stands at 82 points, down four points from May.
A reading below 100, means the overall mood is pessimistic.
The BOK attributed the fall to soaring commodity prices amid high inflation and concerns of economic slowdown with continued rate hikes around the world.
Both manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors were hit, but sentiment among sports and leisure industries improved on-month, thanks to the lifting of social distancing measures.
