Nationwide rain until Thursday...up to 300mm forecast for northern central regions

Showers are coming and going across the Seoul metropolitan area for now. But, later tonight, intense monsoonal rainfall will blanket the nation and will last until Thursday morning. The stationary rainfront is slowly coming in from the north of the Peninsula, and this will cause some heavy showers. Northern central regions will see heavy downpours of up to 300 millimeters. The Chungcheong-do provinces will see up to 200 millimeters. Rain will temporarily ease off tomorrow morning, but torrential downpours will resume again tomorrow night.

Keep in mind that strong wind alerts are issued across many parts of the country. Advisories are issued for the Seoul metropolitan area and for most coastlines. For inland regions, winds will be gusting up to 20 meters per second. Such winds will be capable of blowing down trees and even powerlines. More violent winds are forecast for mountainous regions, so please take extra precautions.

Morning lows in Seoul and Chuncheon will start off at 23 degrees Celsius.

As for the daily highs, Seoul and Busan will get up to 26 degrees. Gwangju 28 degrees.

Rain will continue across the Seoul metropolitan area until this Friday.
