In the span of eight days, North Korea has gone from claiming zero cases of COVID-19 now to more than two million.
This is according to the official tally Friday from the North's state-run Korean Central News Agency.
The death toll is now 65.
The North has reported more than 200-thousand cases a day for four days in a row.
Thursday's tally was over 260-thousand.
South Korea's National Intelligence Service says the reason North Korea is now reporting the number of cases everyday seems to be because it wants to show the North Korean people it's commited to fighting the virus and to prevent public unrest.
