Heavy snowfall advisories issued across S. Korea as cold weather grips the nation

As cold weather rips across the country, South Korea has issued several weather warnings.
The Korea Meteorological Administration issued heavy snowfall advisories on Thursday for some parts of Jeolla-do Province and mountainous areas of Jeju Island.
It also issued the same warning for Ulleungdo and Dokdo Islands.
This kind of warning is issued when snowfall is expected to reach 5 centimeters within 24 hours.
The west coast of Jeolla-do Province, mountainous areas of Jeju, Ulleungdo and Dokdo islands are expected to see up to 10 centimeters of snow.
Other parts of Jeju Island will also see one to five centimeters.
As snow began to fall in Jeolla-do Province, some flights and ferries were canceled on Thursday.
The national weather service advises citizens to be extra careful when driving, as roads may freeze over.
Also, cold weather alerts have been issued throughout the nation which include some parts of Gangwon-do Province.
Cold weather advisories are in effect in parts of Incheon City, as well as Gyeonggi-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do provinces.
Even in the capital city of Seoul, morning temperature recorded minus 7.5 degrees.
But the wind chill temperature, or "real feel," dropped to minus 11 degrees Celsius.
The weather is expected to get warmer starting Friday afternoon.
