Updated: 2021-11-29 17:17:57 KST
And time now for "This Week in Sports" and so joining us in the studio is our sports editor, Paul Neat.
Paul let's begin with short track speed skating.
There has been a first individual gold of the season for Choi Min-jung.
What can you tell us about that?

Yes, that's right. Choi Min-jung picked up her first gold of the season on Sunday at the ISU Short Track World Cup in the Netherlands.
She crossed the line with a time of 1 minute 28.4-1-7 seconds in the one-thousand meter final.
It was a dramatic finish too taking the lead with six laps to go but then lost it to Kim Boutin of Canada with three laps left.
However, the lead was regained on the last lap to pick up her first gold of the season.
Overall, South Korea finished the season's 4th World Cup event, with three golds and one bronze.
The men's team also won gold in the five-thousand meter relay, claiming their first team gold of the season.

Moving on to K League football. It proved to be an eventful weekend at both ends of the table, setting up a dramatic last day of the season.

Yes, it did. With one game still left to play, Gwangju FC have been relegated while Gangwon FC will play in the promotion/relegation playoff.
After a 1-0 loss to Seongnam FC on Saturday, Gwangju were relying on Gangwon losing to FC Seoul to give them a stay of execution.
However, on Sunday… Gangwon drew 0-0 with FC Seoul which means that Gangwon in 11th have a four-point cushion with one game left and condemns Gwangju to a return to the second tier.
The point also meant that both FC Seoul and Seongnam FC are safe from relegation.
Gangwon FC, who recently appointed Choi Yong-soo as new manager, will take on Daejeon Hana Citizen over two legs in the playoff final… the first on December 8th in Daejeon and the second at home in Chuncheon on December 12th.
In the top half of the table, it is advantage Jeonbuk after a 2-0 win over Daegu FC on Sunday.
Ulsan in second could only muster a 0-0 draw away to Suwon Bluewings meaning the gap is now two points with one game left.
The title will be decided on Sunday 5th December, Jeonbuk are at home to Jeju United while Ulsan Hyundai are at home to Daegu FC.

Sticking with football, the Korean women's national team was in action over the weekend too as part of its preparations for the Asian Cup.
How did the team get on?

The team picked up a win against New Zealand in what was the first of two friendlies against the Football Ferns.
Ahead of the AFC Women's Asian Cup in India next January, the Korean women's picked up a 2-1 victory over New Zealand after coming from behind.
Jacqui Hand gave New Zealand a 25th-minute lead but were pegged back by an own goal from Meikayla Moore on 59 minutes.
Lim Seon-joo turned the game on its head nine minutes from time… Cho So-hyun with the assist.
Korea take on New Zealand again on Tuesday in Goyang.
The Asian Cup for Korea begins on January 21st.
They are in Group C with Vietnam, Japan and Myanmar.

To baseball now, KBO bids farewell to one of its greats with Yoo Han-joon retiring.
He had quite the career.

He certainly did. Yoo Han-joon recently announced his retirement after an 18-year playing career.
Yoo was part of the KT Wiz team which one both the KBO regular season and the Korean Series this year and retires at the age of 40.
He had spells with the now-defunct Hyundai Unicorns, the Nexen Heroes… now known as the Kiwoom Heroes… and KT Wiz.
He played 1,650 matches with a career batting average of point-302 with 883 RBIs, 717 runs and 151 home runs.
In fact, Yoo is one of only 16 others to hang up his gloves with a battling average of over point-300.
Yoo said that it was an "honor" to retire at a championship team.

To KBL basketball now. The season is only a couple of months old but already the title race is heating up between KT and SK.

Yes, it sure is. There isn't much between them at all.
Both teams picked up wins over the weekend too.
SK Knights beat KCC Egis 96-91 while KT Sonicboom overcame Anyang KGC 96-80.
KT now has 12 wins with five losses sitting in first place while SK are second with 11 wins and five losses.
Anyang KGC had been on a run of six unbeaten before losing to KT and now sit in third.
More KBL action coming up on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, in NBA over in the U.S., Steph Curry has broken his own record of being the fastest to 100 three-pointers in a single season.
With his second three-pointer of the Warriors' game against the LA Clippers on Sunday, Curry reached 100 threes this season, needing the fewest games to do so in NBA history.
It was Curry's 19th game, beating his own previous record of 20 games in 2015 to 2016 and 2018 to 2019.
The Golden State Warriors are first in the Western Conference and are back in action on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns.

And finally, I understand that there are still some concerns about Peng Shuai despite her call with the IOC.

Yes, that's right. The head of the Women's Tennis Association has said that they remain "deeply concerned."
This is according to a spokesperson on behalf of WTA head Steve Simon who suspects that the email responses from Peng have been influenced by others.
Adding the WTA remains concerned about her ability to communicate freely.
There had been concerns over the wellbeing and whereabouts of Peng Shuai after she accused the former Vice Premier of China of sexual misconduct in early November.

Thank you for that, Paul. See you next week.
Thank you.
