South Korea reported higher on-year job figures for the sixth month in a row in August, but the pace of growth has slowed as in-person services continue to suffer amid the on-going pandemic.
Statistics Korea said on Wednesday that around 27.6 million people in the country were employed in August, up 518-thousand on-year.
But August's on-year increase was around 24-thousand lower than July's increase.
And there was a fall in the number of people in their 30s who were employed.
The retail sector also suffered, with 113-thousand fewer jobs last month than a year earlier.
Employment in healthcare saw the biggest rise, adding 243-thousand more jobs.
