South Korea's exports jumped more than 45 percent in the first 20 days of April, signaling a recovery from the worst of the pandemic.
Preliminary data from the Korea Customs Service shows outbound shipments from April 1st to the 20th were almost 31 billion U.S. dollars, up 45.4 percent on-year.
Taking into account one more working day this year, daily average exports were up 36 percent.
The growth was largely attributed to the base effect, and also increased exports of semiconductors, cars and petroleum products.
