S. Korea's benchmark KOSPI index hits all-time high after surpassing 3,220
Updated: 2021-04-20 17:14:43 KST
South Korea's benchmark KOSPI soared to an all-time high beating the previous record set on January 25th.
The KOSPI rose 21.8-6 points to close at 3,2-hundred-20.7 rising for the seventh consecutive day on Tuesday.
The rise is mainly attributed to massive foreign buying amid the Korean won rising against the U.S. dollar.
It's also due to strong corporate earnings in the first quarter of this year, and on high hopes of a global economic rebound.
