Diplomats from South Korea and Japan met on Thursday in Tokyo where they discussed some thorny historical issues, but sources say little progress was made.
The South Korean diplomat in charge of Asia and Pacific affairs, Lee Sang-ryeol, held talks with his Japanese counterpart (ta-kay-hero fun-ah-koshee) Takehiro Funakoshi.
They discussed Japan's wartime sexual enslavement of Korean women, and its subjection of Koreans to wartime forced labor.
They also discussed Korean Peninsula affairs, as well as cooperation with the U.S. for regional peace.
