Traffic controls in Seoul's Yeouido area to deter big crowds from viewing cherry blossoms

As most of the popular places in Seoul to see cherry blossoms are closed to the public, traffic control in the Yeouido area is being enforced a day earlier than planned, starting today.
The area just behind the National Assembly building, home to the so-called cherry blossom tunnel, was originally set to be under road traffic control from April 1st to the 12th.
However, controls started a few hours ago in a bid to deter big gatherings of people due to the pandemic.
