South Korean foreign minister Chung Eui-yong held talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov this morning to discuss North Korea.
Ahead of their meeting, the diplomats said they would exchange views on Korean peninsula affairs, as well as regional and global issues.
Also on the agenda were bilateral issues, which may have included a possible visit to Seoul by President Putin.
Lavrov, visiting South Korea for the first time in eight years, will leave Seoul this afternoon after a joint press conference and lunch with Chung.
