S. Korea, Russian FMs celebrate 30 years of bilateral diplomatic ties

The nation's top diplomat says Seoul and Moscow have been working together as strategic partners for lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula and will continue to do so.
Speaking at an event marking 30 years of diplomatic ties with Russia, Chung Eui-yong pledged to continue bilateral cooperation on nine key sectors including energy and transport as part of the 'New Northern Policy.'
Moscow's foreign minister who is making his first visit to South Korea in eight years, expressed appreciation for the two countries' cooperation on matters related to security, economy, and culture.
The event was held both off-line and on-line amid the pandemic.
