The World Health Organization says 60-percent of the global COVID-19 infections have been reported in the last month alone, raising concerns about the rate of spread.
According to the WHO's Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Wednesday, an uptick is expected as nations began to ease restrictions.
However, he remained optimistic, saying "it's never too late" to turn things around.
The new number of global COVID-19 cases have been exceeding 160-thousand a day, with the U.S. reporting around 45-thousand new cases each day.
