S. Korea's exports sink 10.9% y/y in June due to COVID-19 pandemic

South Korea's exports plunged in June by a double digit percentage for the third consecutive month.
According to the trade ministry, they were down almost 11 percent on year.
In terms of monetary value, exports amounted to around 39 billion U.S. dollars.
By sector, shipments of automobiles and automobile parts plummeted over 30 percent and 45 percent, respectively.
Imports were down more than 11 percent.
That means a trade surplus for June of around 3.7 billion dollars.
